Replace the cracked bushing, not the whole curved arm

This is the large rubber bushing in the front lower curved control arm (compliance / banana arm). One part fits left or right. Match the number on your arm before you buy — Tesla has used more than one curved-arm revision.

Press-fit part — not a bolt-on accessory

The factory bushing is bonded into the arm. Removal destroys the old bushing and needs a hydraulic press, then a 4-wheel alignment. No press? Buy a complete control-arm kit instead.

Will this fit?

Do not order by model year alone. Look at the number stamped on the curved front lower arm (or on the old bushing). US, EU, and China cars use the same bushing number — there is no separate regional part.

1

Find the curved arm. Each front wheel has two lower arms: a straight one and a curved “banana” arm toward the rear of the wheel. This listing is only for the curved arm.

2

Read the stamp. The number on the arm is usually the arm number, not 1044358-00-A (that is the bushing). Match the stamp to the table below.

3

Buy the right quantity. 1 pc = one side, left or right. Bushings usually wear together — choose 2 pcs (pair) for both sides. Still unsure? Email a photo of the stamp and your VIN to support@tesery.com before ordering.

Highland / new-stiffness arms

If the arm says 1344354-10-A or 1344359-10-A (common on 2024+ Model 3 Highland), Tesla changed the arm spec. Do not assume this bushing fits — send the stamp photo before you buy.

Do not buy this

Wrong arm or later chassis

  • Juniper / cold-climate arms 2188354-10-B / 2188359-10-B
  • Straight-arm bushing 1044343-00-D — different listing

If you need the whole arm and no press, use a 6-piece control-arm kit instead.

Key Features

Direct OE-spec replacement (1044358-00-A)

Made to original-equipment dimensions for the front lower curved control arm, so you can restore the factory joint without replacing the entire aluminum arm.

Quiets clunks, squeaks, and shudder

A torn compliance bushing lets the front end move under acceleration and braking. A fresh bushing restores isolation over bumps.

Repair the bushing, not the whole arm

Tesla often replaces the complete curved arm when only the rubber has cracked. If the arm is straight and the ball joint is good, this is the lower-cost repair.

Aluminum sleeves + bonded rubber

Press-in replacement for the factory subframe-end bushing. Not a polyurethane upgrade and not a spherical bearing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does one bushing fit both left and right?

Details
Yes. The bushing is the same for driver and passenger curved arms. 1 pc services one side. Choose 2 pcs (pair) if you are doing both — they usually wear together.

My arm says 1044354 or 1044359, not 1044358. Is that OK?

Details
Yes. 1044354-00-A (left) and 1044359-00-A (right) are the complete curved arms. 1044358-00-A is the bushing inside those arms. If that is the stamp on your arm, this is the correct bushing.

I have a 2017 or early 2018 Model 3. Will it fit?

Details
Cars built before about June 2018 often use arms 1044351-00-C / 1044356-00-C. Parts catalogs treat this as the same bushing. Confirm the stamp on the arm, or send a photo, before you order.

Highland, Juniper, or a car from Europe / China / the US?

Details
There is no separate US / EU / China bushing number for this part. Fit is by the stamp on the arm, not by market. Highland arms numbered 1344354 / 1344359 need a photo check. Juniper or cold-climate arms numbered 2188354 / 2188359 are not a confirmed fit — do not order this bushing for those arms.

Do I need a hydraulic press?

Details
Yes. The factory bushing is bonded in. Pressing it out destroys the old part. Do not hammer it. If you cannot press the bushing, order a complete control-arm kit instead.

How do I know the bushings need replacement?

Details
Clunks or creaks over bumps, shudder under acceleration or braking, vague steering, inner/outer front tire wear after a recent alignment, or visible cracks in the rubber on the curved arm.

Is a wheel alignment required?

Details
Yes. After the arm goes back on, have a 4-wheel alignment so camber and toe return to spec.

What if there is a problem after installation?

Details
Contact us before removing the part. Include model, year, VIN, and photos. Quality defects follow our warranty policy. A bushing that has been pressed in cannot be returned for change of mind.
