Terra Ross Dried White Truffle contains visible slices of wild-harvested Tuber magnatum Pico. The truffles are selected, cleaned, sliced to approximately 1 mm and dried using specialised equipment. The product contains no additives or added flavourings.
The dried format provides a practical way to incorporate white truffle into prepared dishes outside the limited fresh-truffle season. Available pack sizes are 10 g and 15 g. Natural differences in slice size, shape, colour and aroma are expected.
Visible Slices for Warm Savoury Dishes
Use the slices in preparations where visible truffle pieces should remain part of the finished dish. They are suited to creamy sauces, risottos, pasta dishes, eggs, gravies, butter-based preparations and other savoury recipes containing enough moisture to soften the dried slices.
The slices may be incorporated directly into a moist preparation or softened in a suitable warm liquid before use. Add them during the final stages of preparation and avoid unnecessarily prolonged exposure to high heat.
Dried and Fresh White Truffle Are Different Formats
Dried white truffle offers longer storage and easier handling than a fresh seasonal product, but its aroma, moisture and texture should not be presented as identical to fresh white truffle. Choose the dried format for storage convenience and visible truffle pieces in prepared dishes.
