What B Grade Means

B Grade describes the physical commercial selection of the whole truffles rather than a guaranteed level of aroma or flavour intensity. Individual specimens in this selection are approximately 10–20 g and typically around 2–3 cm in diameter, with natural variation in shape and appearance.

Appearance, Aroma and Texture

Tuber uncinatum typically has a dark brown to black textured exterior and a dark grey-brown to brown-black interior with pale branching veins. Its characteristic profile includes earthy woodland notes with mild nutty and mushroom-like nuances.

Freezing naturally changes the texture of fresh truffle, and the product may become softer after defrosting. Aroma intensity, interior colour, marbling, shape and moisture vary naturally between individual truffles and production batches.

How to Use Frozen B Grade Burgundy Truffles

Defrost only the quantity required under refrigeration and use it promptly. The smaller whole truffles can be sliced, grated or chopped and incorporated into pasta, risotto, eggs, potatoes, sauces, fillings, vegetables and suitable meat dishes.

Frozen Storage

Transfer the unopened package to a freezer immediately after delivery and keep it stored at or below −18°C. Keep the package tightly sealed to limit dehydration and absorption of odours from other frozen foods.

After defrosting, use the required quantity promptly and do not refreeze unless the current product label specifically permits it. Always follow the storage instructions and use-by or best-before date printed on the product label.

Shipping and Protective Packaging

The frozen product is placed in insulated transport packaging with cooling materials appropriate for the destination and expected transit time. Frozen products are supplied only to destinations and delivery routes where suitable transport conditions can be provided.

Delivery availability, courier service and estimated transit time are shown during checkout. Transfer the product to a freezer at or below −18°C immediately after delivery.

Important Product Information

Frozen truffles are natural products. Individual weight, diameter, shape, colour, marbling, aroma, moisture and texture vary naturally between individual specimens and production batches. B Grade describes physical commercial selection and does not guarantee aroma intensity.
