Black Truffles for Dog Training
Real Black Truffle Material for Canine Scent Training
Terra Ross Black Truffles for Dog Training contain real fresh whole truffles intended exclusively for controlled canine scent-recognition and search exercises. Depending on seasonal availability, the supplied material may be Tuber aestivum or Tuber uncinatum. The exact biological species is stated on the label of each package.
This is non-edible biological training material. It is not food, animal feed, a dog treat or a reward for dogs, and it is not intended for human consumption.

Controlled Scent-Training Use
Keep the truffle inside a securely closed, ventilated container designed for scent-training exercises. The container should allow the aroma to disperse while preventing the dog from directly touching or accessing the material.
Begin in a quiet setting with a clearly presented target. Reward the dog when it identifies the scent correctly, then progress gradually to concealed indoor hides and controlled outdoor searches. Increase the difficulty by changing the hiding place, distance, environment and number of competing scent distractions.
Use the product only under the direct supervision of the handler or trainer. Do not allow the dog to lick, chew, tear or swallow the product. Do not use it as a treat, food reward or object intended for direct contact with the animal’s mouth.
For a structured training progression, read the truffle-dog training guide. Related products are available in the Truffle Dog Training Products collection.
